Late to the dance as usual, but here it is. I paid the $12 or so for the upper gasket. There is a lower gasket AND an O ring #0514 2806 AA. . O ring cost $2.70 USD. It's an order part, so it takes a few days. I ended up using the upper gasket (Squeeto made his own) and used red RTV on the three connections. O ring arrived after job was done.

FWIW, the fault code said #4 gp was bad. It had 'nodules' on the tip. #3 gp was covered with soot.

None of the plugs had been broken off.

PS Etecno plugs installed.

You really should best a GDE tune and that will reduce the soot on #3 gp'among a half dozen pluses

Maybe a overlooked question, maybe not. How can you tell if the 5v had been done per TSB or previous owner? What happens when I out my 7v plugs into my jeep that may have 5v relay/tune?

Maybe I answered my own question. Pull a glow plug and check for ceramic. What if it is steel, it could be 5v or 7v!!! Thoughts?

No worries about the above comment. I had originals. They looked brandy new? Number three was as clean as the rest. However the intake elbow was nasty. It was actually much easier than I had read into. Didn't even have to go under the jeep. True test will be a cold day to see if it helps with cold start.

I realize this is an old thread, but has anybody in the US started stocking the Etecno 7volts?
I'm about to install the sasquatch Stage 1/2 and new glows seems timely and advisable.
Thanks

Esp is you have a code just do it. IDPARTS got them to me in about 3 days. I would tackle stage one first and then stage 2 later. You could probably get both done in a weekend.

Swapped out to Etecno 7v when I did the head gasket 2 years ago. Originals were in great condition with no failures, but I felt I should swap them out while I had it apart. I've had one go bad this fall. luckily #1 which I just changed out.

I'll post this here. I just pulled what appeared to be the original Bosch 7v ceramics. No codes were thrown at 177k. If anyone wants them for whatever reason there should be shoot me a pm.
