If you know what 'almost right' in design means, you might own CRD. If you are willing to spend the time fixing that to 'right' you might own a CRD. |

If you've ever been stranded far away from home TWICE due to the clutch pulley crapping out on your alternator and are told that the nearest replacement is in the hometown that you're so far away from, you might own a CRD. (First time it was 65 miles, second time it was 95 miles!) |

If you have 143,000+ miles on your 2005 CRD, have never done anything but change oil and filters, and one timing belt at 99,000 miles. Absolutely, positively the most trouble free vehicle I have ever had, in almost 40 years of driving. AND...it is still a Jeep, the finest off road machines ever made, with tremendous resale, and quality/toughness built in. |
