Here is a list of some Bosch part numbers used . All these should be available through any Bosch dealer or distributor (If they have stock) and as some have found they are a lot cheaper than the stealership. Some of these have already been floating around the forum but there are some that may be useful. Post up any others you have or let me know to add them.

Has anyone had any problems with the $20 Bosch GM P/N 55206797 Map sensor? For $20 bucks I'm thinking or replacing it.

Why would they have problems? It is the exact same part. Mine has been in since I did my rockers/lifters with nary a problem.

The correct number of MAP sensor is BOSH 0281002 437 for CRD 2005.
Bosch 0281002 845, it's General Motors 55206797 does not fit the engine a lot of smoke, incomplete combustion of fuel.
Sorry for the my English, I teaching a long time ago.

2. If you have? How dose it work?

Thanks

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

CMPFIT - while it's good (I thank you for it) to have Bosch numbers your list suffers from the typical terminology problems associated with many DCJ parts and a lack of corresponding Mopar numbers. As a result I for one am not sure in all cases which Bosch # XXXX matches Mopar # YYYYY although in some cases it's obvious. I've attempted a cross walk which I will send you via email to see if I have it right and to avoid excess chat. Perhaps you will consider editing you original post to provide the cross walk to the Mopar #.

For what it's worth some examples of the issues:
1. what you and the parts fiche list as the Boost/Temp Sensor is more commonly known as the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor
2. there are 2 possible Bosch replacements listed for that sensor a) the one you mention 0281002437 and b) the one some others mention 0281002845. I have no affirmative knowledge of which is correct but I can say a) they look the same; b) I cannot find specs to compare; and c) the prices are quite different ca. $65 vs. ca. $25, respectively. I strongly suspect the 2 Bosch parts are not the same. In addition information on the RockAuto, Airtex, and Standard Motor Products cross walk sites strongly implies that the Bosch 0281002437 is the proper equivalent.

UPDATE - see my June 30, 2013 post at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=74785&p=795623#p795623 . Per MrMopar64 the "845" or GM equivalent sensor is a perfectly acceptable substitute for the original "437" sensor.

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

Alright, the one currently in my Jeep is 0281 002 437.

This is the one I ordered from GM for $17.48.

I don't have the original part #, but it's in there and working.

When I go online and look, I find the GM part # 44206797 and it shows that it is 0281 002 845.

Weird.

No, it's still there.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/MAP-Sensor-0281002437-0-281-002-437/535244178.html

It's gone up about $3, but still, for $22 it's kinda crazy to pay more...

Thank you very much for all that, I figured this thread would be a work in progress, I added most of the numbers you provided. I will keep updating it as everyone wishes.

As far as the MAP sensor, Bosch does have two very different prices for it. I found an Italian site that says both of these cross to the same fiat number too. Should we say they are both acceptable numbers?

So...has anyone used Bosch 0281 002 845 in a CRD?

I ordered a GM 55206797. Should be at the dealer today. I will see what Bosch # it has on it.

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

I can positively confirm that the original from the factory MAP senor on my 05 and my son's 06 are both the Bosch 0 281 002 437. Given that and the price difference between the 2 Bosch products I'd say the 2 Bosch products are not the same and that the 0 281 002 437 is the correct replacement.

I have no clue how 0 281 002 437 differs from 0 281 002 845 or its equivalent GM 55206797.

For the price difference of ca. $50 I don't plan on experimenting with my engine, in the unlikely event my MAP sensor needs replacing, absent Bosch confirming that the 2 Bosch PNs are an identical product.

Well.....The GM 55206797 came to the dealer as Bosch 0 281 002 845. I did not get it. Don't want to chance that. From what i can see on Bosch web, they are not interchangeable. If someone else has used it? Please advise.

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

I did find people using 0 281 002 845 with no issue. I contacted Bosch due to there is no specifications listed for 0 281 002 845. Bosh rep told me he did not know the difference other than it may have a pressure difference. He also could not get any specifications. Several others have told me to try it. So....It's now installed. Taking it for a quick drive, I noticed no driving difference. Only noticed that my idle is more stable. Which was the reason i wanted to replace it. I will be driving a few extra miles over the weekend, so i will update later.

UPDATE Using 0 281 002 845, GM 55206797. I did drive the Jeep over 150 miles and this is what i noticed.

1. Stable Idle.
2. Smoother acceleration.
3. Better shifting. (No bouncing in and out of overdrive)
4. Better hill climbing.
5. Smoother highway speed.

I did not check MPG, but it must be better due to less throttle be applied climbing hills and on the highway.

The best $20 tune up I ever had!!

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

Just ordered a new fuel rail pressure sensor # 68020556AA and the Bosch part inside is part #0281002706.
Just an FYI, but, is this the correct part?

Also, since I have never installed on of these, I could use some help and advice.

What is the correct thread sealer to use on this part?

TIA.

Post subject:  Re: Bosch Parts Numbers

You can download the service manual, which roundabout gives you the step by step instructions, from the noob guide.

It will also tell you if you need any thread sealant. I did not use any on mine when I reassembled it because it had none when I disassembled it.
