Hi Guys,

My Liberty now has 185000km's (112000miles)

I have today replaced the clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing and dual mass flywheel. Well, not me but an independent Indy - I vowed never to do a transmission again - lousy job to say the least :juggle:

I should be on the road again on Fri sometime.

The clutch plate itself looks ok - it is worn and could do a few more miles and has one loose spring. The flywheel has quite a lot of movement :shock:

At what mileage has anyone here replaces the flywheel etc.... And darn, it aint cheap, especially when converted to South Africa Rand :banghead:

We were not lucky enough to get the Manual Transmissions here in the US, and I can't think of anyone that's had any issues with the flywheel, but I could be mistaken.

I would love to have a manual transmission on this diesel, would make it even more pleasureable to drive.
