On the Fuel System Opps.... it snapped

I broke it and that can't be good. So....... I need help can we play a game called guess the part?

There is a fuel line from the top of the injectors fabric covered that goes around to a plastic valve or expansion chamber (I think that is what it is) See the pictures. That connection snapped. The jeep will run but sprays diesel everywhere I think that this is apart of the return fuel for cooling??? is that correct?

The questions are as follows? What the heck is this thing and two of the larger lines leading into it have compression rings on the the third wraps through the block towards the front of the motor where is that going and which end comes off? Finally any hints on replacing this unit?

By the way great site the NOOB guide is excellent and information is second to none for the CRD.

Love this site!!! Through the repair manuals on this site I went through 250 pages to find out I broke the Fuel return block. now that I know the part lets see what all it attaches too and how to replace it.

chef, see this thread, it covers everything you need to replace or make a four way fuel connector... :wink:

the OEM plastic item is right expensive, metal is always better.... :roll:
