Post subject:  link needed for fuel head replacement
Hello all,

I have the gen 2 fuel head and wiring kit, but there is no instruction for it. I am pretty sure somebody did a write up on how to do the replacement, but search came back with nothing... Please help with the link or advice. Thank you all in anticipation.

I don't think there's a writeup - because it consists of soldering 2 wires.

match the size - colors are weird - but it's 12 volts - electrons going in one side come out the other

not a real worry if you reverse them. (in Texas it'll run without the fuel heater - but it'd be a problem in Canada)

Kits I've seen have 2 identical sets of wires, don't know why; a new plug; and an odd blue clip. Slid the wires into the plug from the filter head side; secure in the plug with the clip; cut the old plug out of the harness (I don't know if the circuit is "hot" but best disconnect battery just in case); join the new wires to the old using best size match as color is meaningless (solder and heat shrink tubing are fine or I used marine grade butt connectors with heat shrink).

Wow, my first visit, OK, my first logged on visit, my first search, and my first answer to a question I didn't even have to ask. :BINGO:

I was confused by the two sets of wires that came in the kit, too. And I also thought that I saw pictures of the repair someplace.

Welcome aboard and if you have not already done so read Sam's NOOB guide. I know there is a picture of an installed 2n gen fuel head in his fuel filter bleeding video.
