Hey everyone,

I did a search and couldn't find anything similar.

I'm from Canada so I mailed my ECM to Keith at GDE and got it back yesterday, installed it tonight and it starts up awesome, runs great but now I have a CEL showing.

I'm wondering something. I did the EHM to the Jeep a while ago, should I be removing the mod and putting that back to stock again now that I have the GDE eco tune? Could that be causing the light?

I have to get an app on my iphone to get the OBDII working properly (Bluetooth hack to make the iphone read bluetooth devices normally) and then I'll be able to get the engine code.

Just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas or have run in to the same situation.

Any help or thoughts would be great.

I will contact GDE if I can't resolve it in a day or two.

Cheers,

I am a strong proponent of EHM. Essential at higher revs to minimize crankcase pressure.

Best to get codes read if it runs fine, then go from there. Autozone may be able to do it free.

Thanks Doc...

I'll get the codes read and find out what's going on.

Cheers,

What I meant was I would try not to drive it far if it seems to be running poorly.

It's actually running great. Brought it to work today and it has been awesome. I'm going its something minor.

Cheers,

Think about the trans tune also. I did both ECO and trans. Now the jeep will hold OD down to 52mph & shifts are firm & tight. Makes the stock TC work like it should have from the factory. Good luck with the cel.

Sorry everyone...wanted to post a response sooner regarding the check engine light. It resolved itself on the second day. Just went off...I'm thinking there might have been air in the lines or something from sitting for two weeks while the tune was being done.

As far as the tune goes it's amazing...way better turbo response...much more responsive overall and it starts so much easier as well. Very happy.

Regarding the transmission tune: I talked to a guy a couple of weeks ago and he has some issues with it. I'm not sure I'll spring for the tranny tune for a while.

Thanks everyone...love'n the GDE eco tune.
