Post subject:  CRD air conditioner issue

Anyone have trouble getting ac fixed on card?
I had a shop replace 2 sensors purge and charge the system . he was able to get manually get compressor to kick but it won't work otherwise. Help. I'm scared to go to dealer!!

Get a new tech. If he does not know how to check a sensor to see if it is faulty, he is just a parts swapper.

I agree you could have a bad relay.

Sorry for the hijack, but since you're dealing with the AC... Is there a reason why my Jeep surges at stops now when the AC is on? It is really only cold when I'm moving, and it gets warmish when idling at stops. I figure it needs service, but the Jeep actually surged pretty hard the other day and seemed to fight the brakes pretty hard.

Could that me an indication of a different type of problem?

Lack of airflow over the condensor,bad AC fan or mechanical fan.Could also be a bad compressor.I've seen bad AC compressor kill a big block V8 at idle.
