| Post subject: | Black smoke and power loss at low speed accelration |
I am experiencing loss of power and smoke at takeoff acceleration. At about 30 mph the turbo kicks in and runs normal from there on. I recently had the timing belt changed out and it seemed to start this problem about then. If the mech. missed the cam alignment would that cause this problem ? any comments would be appreciated. |

Do you have any lights on in the dash board, if so which codes are showing (CEL)? Also, this thread may possibly help solve the problem you're having with the information provided. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=74766 |

Another likely source would be splits/tears in your CAC hoses or a loose connection on same that bleed boost. |
