I searched for scan gauge and found a few old threads. I have been using one in my excursion for awhile now and think its great. With the xgauge codes programmed I can really keep an eye on things like oil temp and boost. Has anyone had any luck with the SG2 in their CRD? I get the basic odb stuff but that's about it.... In other CRD news I did get my filter order in. Really like the pricing herehttp://www.discountfleetsupply.com/ They also have the regular paper media filters at $40 a case of 12. I bought the Xp filter. Just so happens the CRD uses the same filters and oil as my passat. I get my tractor excursion and cucv diesel filters here as we'll. All WIX. Item Unit Price Qty. I've got a SG II - works okay for a while and then it'll turn off - it's not the scangauge - it's the Jeep. Chrysler put in a Mickey Mouse fix for some computer issues so a 20 min timeout is normal. also - if you leave it plugged in - it overloads the data buss and will kick you out of Overdrive - while you're on the highway Not fun. SG is good for reading and clearing codes. |

Thanks ATXKJ... I'll certainly keep that in mind and won't run it full time like I o in the Ford. Too bad they used a Disney character to fix it... Mickey and Goofy must be the auto industry employees of the year - always show up when things aren't clear or properly corrected. |

That makes sense about the overdrive kick-out. I have always left mine plugged in and have been kicked out occasionally. I don't remember reading that anywhere before. |
