In the last 6 months or so both stoutdog and I have experienced what I'd call a sticky throttle pedal that results in a slight tendency for the engine to very briefly "run on" or maintain speed rather than immediately drop to idle. This is not to be confused with what happens when those of us with big feet hit the brake and throttle pedal at the same time.

I've posted a fix that seems to work well and costs essentially nothing over on the CRD tech section for your reading pleasure if you have experienced this slightly annoying event.
