Put some shudder eliminator in it.

My :2cents:
1. some have had luck with like Lucas Transmission Fix
2. I know it's messy so I hate to even mention this but it might be worth dropping the tranny pan and checking to confirm that any new filters are fully seated (IIRC one is push on and I seem to remember posts to the effect that a fully seated installation required a bit of force) and that the flat filter has not split (there was a post a while back about one that split right after install). Also make sure the plate on the side of the valve body is tight.
3. there is apparently a little check valve that may have something to do with the drain back problem. See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=76294&p=801350&hilit=04799681#p801350

If it is the torque convertor and you DIY you might consider installing the new pump at the same time.

Good luck

It is now "slipping" when it makes the last shift or TC-lock into overdrive when entering the highway, it just revs up a little and if you let off it will complete the shift.

How well does it shift with the O/D off?

With the O/D off, the TC will lock up in 3rd gear at about 38 mph.
If it is slipping/shuddering at that speed, it may be your TC.
If no slip/shudder, it may be your 4th or 5th gear clutch pack.

What is the fluid level like?
Maybe try adding a little more ATF+4. Its okay to be slightly over filled. Wont hurt.

I drove it this morning and it didn't act up, I am thinking about trying the lucus stuff. And I will try checking the OD off shift. Thanks guys.

flash7210 has a good point. There have been a variety of posts to the effect that depending on how long you let your tranny drain during service that the amount of ATF+4 for a full refill can vary. IIRC from like 5-8 qts and that it may take several drive cycles to get the fluid fully distributed and enough extra added to get to a full after service fill. Low fluid could certainly cause bad shifts and slippage.

It has been around 2 weeks and maybe 1 tank of fuel. I did read that the shift kit install can mess with shifting for a while until the trans "re-learns" shifts!?

Last I checked the dip stick was showing about 1/4" over full mark. Should I ad the Lucus now or should I shove a tube down there and pull some expensive ATF4 out?

Sorry about any typo's my darn iPhone keyboard really has it out for me some days!!

Just add it, the dipstick is NOT a good reference as they were made too long for the tube on our transmission anyways and don't show an accurate measurement.

Thanks Chrysler.

OK thats what I'll do "add and pray" . I have a 5 year old bottle of the Lucas trans fix that has been opened sitting on the shelf for some time. I was going to use it but I will kick my self it it doesn't help and wish I bought new!

Thanks for the ideas guys.. this darn Jeep!!!
