Well the jeep has started doing this annoying thing with the gauge cluster. Im not sure if its even related to it being a diesel. It will randomly decide to start lighting up different symbols. But the 3 that are consistent is the low fuel indicator and gauge falls to empty and will ding, the check oil or low oil pressure with illuminate and ding like crazy, and the water in fuel light will come on. They come on and off randomly, sometimes once and sometimes will cycle on and off multiple times. I first thought it was a ground. But today I noticed the A/C would not work while it was acting like this. Im now kinda leaning toward possibly the ecm? Idk if its related, but I also have this weird issue with hyper flash on the left turn signal. I thought it blew it bulb one day. Stopped at parts store on way home and went to check to see if it was front or rear and they both burnt and no hyper flash. It also randomly decides to work and not work. Is there maybe a main connector that is known for issues? Also has or is supposed to have the GDE eco tune if it matters
The ECM is a pretty robust component so rather first re-plug the connectors on it with battery disconnected. I would also re-plug the connectors on the BCM/Junction block and the plug on the rear of the cluster.
You can excersize the cluster by holding in the Odo meter reset pin while turning the ignition ON....the lights will all light up and the gauges will swing around. This is not too much help if the fault is intermittant.
Any issue with turn signals/stop lamps etc. are often corroded bulb holders in the cluster so it is worth cleaning corrosion off them or replacing them...the grounds to these bulb holder soften go missing.
The later KJs have a common module that sits in the centre of the engine bay...this is the "gateway" module which basically send the PCI or CAN data to the various other components...check this module is clean and dry
Bad batteries, bad battery connections on the battery as well as where the ground strap goes to ground and the earthing strap going from the engine to the chassis can also cause problems.
Try and solve the problem one by one as you have too many different issue going on here.
Any issue that "dings" and lights up things like oil pressure should post an OBDII code which you need to have read out.

If you have a 2006 CRD there is a known issue of where the harness goes behind the fuel filter head mounting plate the mounting plate can cut into the wires in that area and cause shorts to the chassis.
