Okay; I have issues with the gas peddle. I can't get in a comfortable position to push that thing.

Is it at all adjustable in anyway?

Nope non-adjustable.

Not inherently adjustable but I can tell you that it bolts to a plate that bolts to the firewall. It might be possible to mod the plate or fab a new plate to shift the pedal location left/right and/or up/down. Pedal height or travel you are stuck with as the spring that controls travel is internal and the pedal is drive by wire using 2 sensors mounted on the assembly that somehow sense pedal travel so you cannot mess with that without messing up throttle control.

Thanks. I'm considering cutting a hole in the floorboard to get my foot in a better position but what if that didn't work, then I'd have a hole in the floor.

I have short arms so when I move the set back I'm reaching for the steering. I can't win.

So i'm going to do something about it. I hope that I remember to post what I did and if it worked.

Now that you mention it working with the mounting plate would allow any combination of:
1. shifting the pedal location left or right
2. shifting the pedal location up/down relative to the distance above the floor
3. shifting the pedal location further away from the firewall (e.g. closer to the driver - NOTE without looking I would not think shifting it closer to the firewall would be a good idea). I had not thought of this option when I did my earlier reply.
Actually now that I think a bit more that mounting plate or a fabricated replacement could probably rotate the pedal location/orientation relative to the firewall.

What cannot be changed is the physical relation of the pedal to the sensors.

Now if I could just figure out how to mod my wife's Honda Element pedal so it wasn't so darn "light"; it needs a few lbs more resistance to movement especially when leaving a full stop.

I modded my gas peddle in my KK.
I cut a wood wedge and using an old rubber off a brake peddle cut to the KK shape. I drilled a hole and mounted them. Now my foot sits at a better angle.

So I used to electrical ties and strapped on two shims. I may add another, but I can tell the difference already with these two that it will help with the uncomfortably feeling while driving. thanks Cherrie for your post.

Grab a variety pack of springs from Home Depot (I get all my car parts there!) and attach to the upper part of the pedal's armature and somewhere above in the dash structure. The spring loading will make the pedal require more force, so don't go crazy with a super-strong spring. This will change the 'weight' at all driving conditions, but you probably won't notice it much after starting off.

Well that's your problem! Someone put a gas pedal in your CRD!

Sorry couldn't help myself... :|
