Post subject:  Head Gasket repair feedback

Hey guys I was wondering if you can post some feedback after HG replacement.

Can you post some details of the repairs:

Were ARP studs used and what torque spec did you used or stock bolts
Were the rockers and lifters replaced
Any other major parts
How long since repairs

I am in the middle of the job waiting for lifters HG and timing tool. Still debating if I should use ARP or stock bolts.
Thanks and I look forward to your replies.

I've got about 6 thousand miles on my ARP studs. Did the rockers and lifters, WP, and alternator at that time. The cooling system has not leaked a drop since the studs, and the old WP was not bad when I pulled it. While I have no objective proof, my hypothesis is that the significant variation in factory bolt torque from bolt to bolt shows head warpage that was corrected by the studs and which thus stopped the slow coolant leak I had. I would not use 'TTY' bolts on this head. See the ARP stud thread for more discussion on this.
