Am hoping someone could tell me what the thing is I've broke, and maybe a part number.. It was while I was taking the head off, at the back on the inlet manifold is a 4 way plastic unit with piped the the injection pump, tank, injector leak back (I think thats what it is).. Anyway, while trying to get the small leak back pipe off I snapped it's connector/nipple.. A local garage suggested glue, I'd rather try and replace it but trying to get it's name or part no.. I have an 05 CRD Liberty (Cherokee to us Brits!) Thanks Simon |

It's probably the fuel rail return block that others have broken. Appears to be PN 5142809AA but you can make a brass replacement. See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=74788&p=784030&hilit=return+block#p784030 |

I broke that plastic too, not knowing it's plastic... I went to Napa and I got a 2 x 3 way connector ![]() You connect the 2 3ways with another hose. The advantage is that there won't be so much tension in the hoses like you would use papa's link, which by all means is a good idea. The 3 way comes without any nipple, you have to buy them separately from them. You need 5 3/8 hose barb fittings and the 6th connector is this, from summit racing ![]() Summit is the only place I found such a tiny fitting that goes "normally" in the return little hose, without cutting the woven sleeve of the hose. I end up cutting the plastic hose completely from the cp3 pump, and use a piece of 3/8 marine diesel hose, also from napa ![]() The marine hose is thicker and more resistant. I clamped the hose on the neck of the cp3 fitting that's still on the pump, as part of the old plastic hose connection. ![]() If you zoom the picture, you'll see the 2nd tee connector somewhere in the back. 2k miles and seems it's doing the job fine. Whatever you decide on doing, good luck! |
