I recently bought a 2005 CRD sport. Yes, even after reading all of the good things about them. 165,000 miles and a good deal. IO just did the timing belt tango so everything is now up to date. Lift kit, tires, and skid plates going on next week. Fun times coming!

Lots of good info on this site.

Welcome aboard. I just got mine a month ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I am slowly fixing all the issues that people have been talking about and so far so good. Just an FYI, Amazon Prime has been a great resource for cheap parts and quick delivery(free 2-day), at least the basic stuff like oil filters, fuel filters, fan clutches, and in-line tstats.

Clean your MAP sensor. At 42k miles mine looked like the ones in the in the Noob Guide. I jumped 1.5-2 mpg after I cleaned it.

Thanks

I went through and did all of the needed maintanence goodies. MAP was crud. Timing belt, stat and waterpump, Front bumper cut, lift going on this week and some 265's!
Im a diesel truck guy and have had my share of TDI's. Guess im just a glutton for punishment.
Just trying to figure out how much of the factory crap I can delete and throw away. :)
