The write-up on the tech section is perfect. My mounts were so bad I couldn't even tell a difference when I shifted from drive to reverse. I was actually uncertain that my clunking and vibrating wasn't something else.

It took me about 4 hours while taking my time, and I spent $90 for two drivers side mounts from moparpartsamerica.com. Swapping the heat shield was very easy for me.

At 125k miles, I guess they were impacting my driving enjoyment. The whole car used to shake and vibrate. I hit 80 MPH on the freeway, and it was a whole new vehicle. Both old mounts shake like spray cans with something inside.

Everyone should swap them if they have not already. Oh, and I got a good look at my turbo for the first time in years. The fan shaft doesn't budge at all. I guess the GDE tune and lifetime 0W - 40 didn't hurt the turbo any.

This is the end of the public service announcement.

In my case the old mounts are ok - ish. I think I'll keep them for some emergency. That noise I had turned out being some wires touching the steering column. But overall, I have no regrets replacing them, and after replacing the front suspension with new parts (coils, shocks, upper an lower arms, wheel bearings, stabilizer bar links), the jeep drives like new. Just need a "new car scent" air freshener...

Can I get the PN for the mounts? I'm curious if I can find them in town so I can do the job ASAP instead of waiting for the shipping.

IDParts and pretty much every online Mopar house carries them. I'll bet you can find one on the west coast that'll ship same-day.

Replaced mine about 6 months ago. Only the right side was bad but replaced both. My symptoms were a rattle/shake when shutting off the engine and a subtle "sometimes" vibration when driving down the road.

Just to chime in--I replaced my motor mounts which immediately fixed my "mysterious" clunking and rattling sounds as well.
