Hi guys, I've just bought the AUTEL MS310 OBDII reader. I tried it for the first time on my Liberty 2007 2.8 CRD 120 kw but it has a strange behaviour: it makes the engine light pop out plus the ABS and ESP light come out and shows the code U0002 Can bus off performance. If I erase the codes, unplug it and crank the engine, then everything goes back to normal. Seems like the car does not want a device plugged into the OBDII socket without the engine running. Ever experienced anything like this? |

My experience is that the CRD doesn't like an OBD scantool connected when the engine is on. I used several to pull the EGR and FCV codes a few threads down. I plugged it in with the engine off, no key in ignition, then inserted and turned the key to ACC (not cranking) to pull the codes. I used an Autel TP100. I find if I leave the scantool plugged in the diag lights start flashing in the gauge cluster. |
