I need to replace the glow plugs but I have two simple questions: How do you know if the are 7v or 5? I keep reading that people are buying plugs from Europe for like $25 each, but so far I have struck out... does someone have a source they care to share? Thank you! (and yes I did a search but was overwhelmed with results |

http://www.idparts.com/catalog/product_ ... ts_id=3816 Hopefully the link works Idparts.com 24.95 a piece 7v steel glow plugs will drop right in, and work without having to re-flash your ECM to recognize 5v. |

Sweet! Thank you very much. I was in a bit of sticker shock. $20 for four glow plugs for our VW Golf; $360 for four glow plugs for the CRD. |

You should double check me on this, but I believe if the glow plugs have red bands around the tips, they are 5V. |
