I was very surprised and thankful to get in on the Mobil 1 TDT sale at Autozone. I was able to score a total of 13 gallons. I then started searching the web for the best deal on Mobil 1 M1-211 filters and found that Walmart is selling a 2 pack for $9.00. Also, there is free shipping on orders that total $35.00 or more. That means $4.50 each for the best filters money can buy for our beloved CRDs. There were several other sizes, none of them very popular though. Search through and see if you can find sizes for your other cars too. Unfortunately the M1-301 is not available in the 2 pack. I ordered four 2packs for a total of eight filters for 36 dollars. I may order some more. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-1-M1-21 ... k/16565249 |

Hopefully they're not seconds, or of poorer quality than other retailer's filters. WalMart scares me sometimes, as they're not afraid to beat up manufacturers on price and force them into manufacturing slightly cheaper stuff that resembles the original. I know they do this with power equipment and electronics...hopefully not oil filters...I try to avoid Walmart at all costs, although I wonder if amazon is the same way..?.. |

A Mobil 1 oil filter is a Mobil 1 oil filter, no matter the retailer that it is being sold through. The local gun shops always claim that Walmart sells factory second firearms. That rumor has been a load of bull ever since its inception. The same firearms distributors that sell guns to Walmart are the same that sell to the local guns shops. I imagine it is the same with oil and air filters. Come on now, it is a Mobil 1 filter, not a Walmart filter. |

Lol...I'm not saying it's a Walmart filter. I'm just saying that Walmart has a way of getting manufacturers to cut costs. I once bought a Hoover floor scrubber there with one slight difference in the model number versus every other retailer...one extra digit on the end. It was identical in every way to the other versions, and Hoover didn't even list on its website. It was specifically sold only at WalMart. And, it was a total POS!! Broke after a few hours use. I'm sure ur filters will be fine...but I have to disagree slightly with your logic. |

Besides spending >$35, can you not pick this up at any local store to avoid shipping costs? |

Frams Ultra Filters are like $10 at Advance Auto and im thinking they are better. From what I had read, the fram performs on par with Amsoils filters. They are available in the Larger canister that fits our Jeep, the one from the old ford V8, the XG8A or whatever. Edit: Crap, didnt see it was 2 for $9. That's solid |

That's solid I would not buy anything with fram written on it especially an oil filter check YouTube videos on comparative analysis of various brands. |
