I got a letter in the mail saying that my CRD needed to be fitted with the Mopar trailer hitch because of the gas tank leaks. I thought they were only doing this on the gasser versions

I just checked my VIN on Jeep's website and it says I'll get a new hitch also.

I have some hitch that I can't identify, but I might remove it and get the mopar one so that I can get the 7 pin harness mounting bracket without having to drill and tap my own holes.

I just checked on line and it has the VIN with a recall but when I called the dealer, they said it is in "pre-notification" status and I have to wait for the letter from Chrysler.
