Hey all, Never posted before but have been an advid reader for the past 4 years or so. Definitely appreciate the community surrounding this awesome little diesel. Couldn't really find any definitive answers out there so wanted to pose a question. I want to replace pretty much all the suspension as it is getting up there in miles and doesn't ride like it should. I don't feel the need for a lift but do do some moderately heavy towing. From the research I know OME equipment is great but expensive. Is there anyone out there that has replaced the factory suspension while keeping the jeep the same level and beefed it up a bit? If so how much did it cost and what brand parts did you use? Thank you. -Tyson 2005 Liberty CRD 104,000 miles GDE Tune, New timing belt (plus replacing about everything while I was in there) |

I did Ironman springs from http://jeepinbyal.com/ and Bilstein Shocks from http://www.shockwarehouse.com/. (best prices) ![]() Small amount of lift and very good ride. Ride is better to me than the OEM parts were!!! ![]() |

I replaced the factory shocks with Bilsteins at about 112k miles. Still on factory springs, ride height measured ok. Huge improvement, one of the best modifications I made, right up there with the GDE Eco tune. Ordered the Bilsteins from Shock Warehouse, reasonably priced and prompt delivery. |
