Been meaning to ask this for awhile. I have noticed that there appears to be a tow/haul mode that engages automatically when towing in hilly terrain in the summer. O/D is locked out, shift points are raised, and the T/C locks up at a lower than normal speed. Anybody know what the logic is that engages tow/haul mode? Is it as simple as rising transmission temperature or is it more complicated--like the transmission control "learning" that you are towing? It always seems to come back to normal shifting when it cools down.
