I thought I had heard that 15" wont clear the brakes except for the 5 spoke Rubicon wheels. I believe the new Wranglers may have 16" wheels

I heard that the wrangler rims will need wheels spacers to clear

15" Cherokee, Grand Cherokee or Wrangler rims will not clear the tie rod ends. Tried that.

uuummmhh do you folks realize there are other sections to the LOST forum

including -um Wheels and Tires http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=8

in general - the only 15's that will fit are steel - it'll clear the brake calipers - Crager's are a known good.

Cast aluminum won't - need at least 16"

I have the 16" moabs that were OE on wranglers on my CRD and they fit. There is a little rubbing at full lock due to the extra inch of width but they fit nicely with 245/75's on them with an amount of rubbing I can live with. I also have the OME lift so that helps with clearance.

Any 16" wheel that fits the old TJ Wrangler should be ok. You can try to find a set of MOABs or look at new Mamba copies of Moabs. I run the 16 x 7 Mambas' and they fit fine and no rubbing at all with 255 width tirex. Mambas are stocked by Quadratec

one of the caveats on the Moab's - the originals were 8" wide

virtually every tire that will fit in a KJ wheelwell - will work better on a 7" rim

(check the tire manufacturer's recommended rim size for you favorite tire)

Same setup here. My Frankenlift is starting to sag/settle in because I'm getting a little more rubbing lately. 25K on the lift so far.
