I had a slight squeak under the hood. It sounded belt/pulley related. I found the serpentine belt tensioner was barely rubbing the back of the PS pulley. Not good. I read some other threads on the tensioner failing in a bad way. I just ordered a new tensioner from IDParts. I'm driving one of my backup vehicles now.

History....The CRD had a bad alternator decoupler when I got it with 102K miles. I replaced the alternator w/decoupler with a new unit that the previous owner had already purchased. I replaced the serpentine belt and all idler/tensioner pulleys at that time. The new decoupler went out around 120K (I have another thread on the crap alternator decoupler). I now have 131K miles and running strong. That tensioner has gone through two decoupler fails on my watch and it looks to be the original. It's done it's service. Time for a new one.
