It appears our AC compressor has seized. ID Parts has a DENSO unit. Anybody have any experience with these? Not sure whether DENSO makes the OEM unit.

Thanks!

Japanese corp but worldwide operations, well known, been around since 1949, supplies parts to a bunch of companies. Makes the OEM alternator if I recall correctly. Is the compressor locked up internally, can happen if oil in the freon is low, or is it just the clutch? If the latter it can be replaced separately.

In any event the idParts price is a darn good one. I paid a lot more some years ago for a compressor on a different vehicle.

I suspect you can pull and replace the old unit your self and then take it to an AC shop, unless you have the equipment or access to it, to pull a vacuum and recharge the unit. I'm no AC person but past chat indicates you don't want to let the system sit open to air long and you probably will need a new dryer canister but I could be wrong.
