Okay, jeep in bits right now & I cannot find the blue/orange feed in my loom under the seats. Bear in mind mine is an export so left/right loom is swapped.
Are people taking the feed from the loom going into the big square connector (c306, has around 20 wires feeding it) or the smaller one (c307, has about 8 wires going into it)

Seems to be differences in the loom between export & USDM models for the fuel pump :banghead:

Okay, more FSM browsing done.
C307 is the plug to use it seems, however I do not get a switched 12v feed to it, from the FSM

I am getting a constant 12v to pin 5 (yellow), EDIT - this is 12v for the rear wheel speed sensor

Is there anything you need to do to enable the switched feed for the fuel pump? The feed to c307 comes from the fuel pump relay that the CRD doesn't have.
I am sure the correct wire to use is pin 3 A141 green/white but I am getting nothing from it.
Has anyone done this mod on a RHD export?

TIA

Jeep is in more pieces now. Seems at connector C102 the a141 feed stops :banghead: So I need to find where to take a feed to power this connector. I really don't understand how the USDM CRDs are getting feed from the fuel pump relay if it isn't there :?:

Answered my own question, looked at a 2006 FSM and they are very different to the '03.

Does anyone know what logic poweres the fuel heater? Is it always on with ignition or on at a set temp? Think next option is to run a feed from the heater to power the pump

Sorted

Slightly different setup on pre '05 exports, no feed that switches on for 20 odd seconds they shuts down so I found another feed.

Setup is set to run from the 10amp feed for the blower motor relay as this only comes on with ignition and not with "acc". Will ad an update to the Kennedy lift pump post in the CRD tech for all export owners.

I just stuffed a wire into the relay box under the NO contact of the pump relay for an under hood pump. But it sounds like you got it all worked out. :BINGO:

that doesn't exist in the export relay box, was my first thought also. Spent more time looking at FSMs and chasing wires than pumbing the pump in :banghead:

I guess Jeep CRDs on not such a phenomenon over in the UK that you would have a forum as dedicated and helpful as this one for your version? Actually I thought TonyCRD belonged to a similar forum over in Spain?

yeah - but Tony cheated and bought a VW...true it was a V10 diesel .... but still a VW.

Steve - one of the reasons that line was in the wiring harness was that they used the V6 harness for the diesel

so check the 2003 V6 wiring diagram and see if it's got a hot line going back for their in tank fuel pump.

There isn't, no power back to the tank, it is listed as being there on the diesel & v6 wiring diagrams but just no feed into it further up the loom. There was a big change in '04 in europe on emissions for diesels, earlier ones have less emission controls on them and the looms are different to what you got, most stuff listed as for gas on the loom diagrams isn't fitted to the '03 diesel loom.
There are loads of CRDs over here, but I have not read up of anyone fitting a lift pump on the UK forums before.

Anyway, -3c outside, turned the jeep on, quick hum from the pump for less time than the glow plug light was on and she fired up first time. Serious result :pepper:
