On Sunday when I went out to plow snow, my John Deere must have been a little gelled as it stalled. I took a look at the filter that is in a clear housing and it looked a little cloudy like wax, so I put some more anti gel in and continued to plow.
Today I took my Sprinter out of the shop and it started shaking the entire dash board for a while. So I dropped in into low gear and continued on, I was pretty sure it was gelling. After a quick stop, I headed up the highway and it was in LHM, max I could get was 45, so I pulled over and shut it down and restarted. It has been just fine since then. I checked for codes in the Ultragauge and no codes, and no CEL?
We had below zero weather a couple of nights, and I already put the Stynadine additive in the NCV3, but I think I did it when I got to the shop last week, so it never got a chance to mix in?
I used some Howes in the tractor, before and after the problem, but I guess it is not as good as Stynadine?
Got off easy for quite a few years. Looks like those easy years are gone for a while. So much for winter blends, I will not trust them.
