I just put new tires on my CRD and while I was at it had new Tire Pressure Monitors installed. The old TPMs were original and were faulty and the light indicatied so in the gauge cluster. It has been 3 days and about 200 miles, the light is still illuminated. What is the procedure to reset? Thanks

If they sensors are OEM they have to be reprogram with a special tool. if they are the Doorman brand they are suppose to work with the car after few miles (haven't tried it though)

I assume you have no EVIC, only the cluster light. The FSM notwithstanding I've moved tires on both 05 and 06 models with OEM sensors without programming and the tire locations moves properly and my son has installed one Dorman sensor and it also self programmed. However that was with an EVIC that provides a pressure reading for each tire on the ground.

Depending on what brand your new sensors are they may need programming, as I recall it involves a special magnet tool, or you may have to just have the code cleared.

If you installed Dorman 974-001 sensors they should self program in about 20 miles or maybe less per my son's experience. Most but not all EVICs display tire pressures for the 4 tires on the ground but NOT the spare (eg. some EVICs apparently lack the tire pressure display). Press the "step" button on the EVIC to scroll thru the displays and see if you have the tire pressure one and if it's displaying pressure for those 4 tires. If so I'd guess you did not replace the sensor in the spare and that's where the problem is as the CRDs with EVICs report a problem with the spare via the dash light although the Owner's Manual says the EVIC should display a spare tire pressure low message. I do not know if the latter is true and even if it is I suspect a bad spare tire TPM sensor may just trigger the light without the message.
