Cool, aluminum and silicone connectors like my old Freighliner Cummins had. |

Very cool. I suspect this could be a kit you could sell. Have you thought about that? If so how much? |

I would like to see a debate about the cons of totally eliminating the FCV though. It seems that it may still be required to stop potential anti shudder or run on after shut down. |

I'm interested enough to ask for a price! |

I'd also be interested in a price. At almost 8 years my factory hoases are probably reaching the end of their life. Squeeto wrote: I would like to see a debate about the cons of totally eliminating the FCV though. It seems that it may still be required to stop potential anti shudder or run on after shut down. I've been running without for the last year and don't notice any difference whasoever at shutdown. I'm not about to spring for $600 to replace something that doesn't do squat. |

I am thinking the debate about an FCV is null and void, more then half the diesels I owned never had one, it was only put on there to make sure you engine could choke on its own soot. Anti shudder was just a bonus. |

Glend wrote: If your running a GDE tune then the FCV is only used at shutdown to prevent 'runaway diesel' as a safety feature. Therefore what the problem with it staying there? The argument that it's effective as a runaway-preventer is questionable. It's a mechanical part. It fails. It leaks. It makes noises. It is expensive to replace. It restricts flow. And many, many diesels exist with no FCV whatsoever. Glend wrote: Secndly, that engine photo clearly shows an EGR type pipe coming around from the other side, isn't that much more important to address? With my elbow, the EGR tube has nowhere to go. This eliminates another place boost leaks occur. The tube can be removed--and is on my engine. The EGR system is then "turned off" by unplugging the MAF. If you have an EcoTune you won't even get a CEL. |

Totally agree. NO FCV. NO EGR, No Problems! |
