My CEL is throwing a code P1267. A quick search is showing this as #4 Glow Plug...is that right? I had my glow plugs replaced with Etecno's 7v back in September. Thanks! |

correct, it is a failed #4 glow plug. |

GDE, thank you! Any idea why my Etecno 7v glow plug would fail after 4 months of service?? |

That would be a good question for Etecno to answer. We have heard of quite a few failures of these plugs. They should request failed units be shipped back and tested for the failure mode. |

I'm getting a free replacement sent from Etecno. Apparently they've had 5 reports this winter: Etecno wrote: Claims about this glow plugs are not popular, but we had five claims this winter, all from USA, I guess the very could temperature in the area have stressed the glow plugs very much, so I guess minor manufacturing fragility can show up on a few samples. We need to investigate this further and I'm in charge of collecting data for proper investigation. edit: going through an exchange process with IDparts. Etecno is out of stock and I'm impatient. |
