Hi All!

Please ignore this post as it seems to be written by a lexdysic ignoramus (namely me)!

Thanks!

Just had the CRD go into limp mode on a full tank going over our local mountain (less than 2500 ft above sea level) with the kids on the way home last evening.

I carry a scantool on board and got P0039 which most of the information out in the ether comes up with as:Turbo/Super Charger Bypass Valve Control Circuit Range/Performance.

Others think it is "contaminated fuel", and still others post it as a misread and actually P0339 the crankshaft position sensor.

Cleared it and it popped back up under load again and again and again....

I had just filled up, so contaminated fuel made sense. Changed filters without draining the tank (yet) ran down the road stepped on it...Limp...P0039...Clear...step on it...Limp...clear...

You get the picture.

Has anyone come up with a definitive resolution to this yet?

Thanks!

There is no P0039 in the Service Manual.

P0339 would be Cam Position Sensor. It is on the very back of your intake.

Probably misread a P0093 which I think is large fuel leak. The ECM's way of saying it's not getting enough fuel. I would change your fuel filter after draining that tank.
