I have an 05 Liberty CRD. Recently I noticed upon acceleration when the rpm is 2K or more, what I've been told is the clutch fan, stays on for an extended period of time (until the rpm drops below 2K). Any ideas?

my idea is that you should restate the sentence.

it's not clear what your question is. You say you noticed but you don't say what you noticed, only when you noticed it.

as to the fan clutch, it's temperature operated.

stock one for the mechanical fan, if it's working, engages about 200f air temp, which means the radiator is really hot.

Hayden is about 170F.

electric in front of the radiator, engages when the AC is turned on, may engage is the engine is hot enough (heard different numbers on that)
