Since the 66RFE is basically a 545RFE case stuffed with 68RFE gears, does anyone know if replacing our 4th (well, kinda-5th) gear with a 66/68RFE 5th gear is a drop-on? This would change the ratio from 0.75:1 to 0.81:1, thereby eliminating the too-large 3rd-4th gap, and too small 4th-5th gap. I'm sure Kieth could then tailor a trans cal for me. |

The gap between the higher gears in a 545RFE is very small compared to the lower gears.Would be a lot of $$$ for no noticeable difference. -1st 3.00:1 -2nd 1.67:1 -2nd Prime 1.50:1 -3rd 1.00:1 -4th 0.75:1 -5th 0.67:1 -Reverse 3.00:1 |
