Has anyone experienced the same problem and how did you overcome fixing it back on to the glass?

thought about using a 1001 bond but not sure if that will allow the heater element to work as it may act as a film between the element and connector?

In theory you can solder it back on but that does carry a glass breakage risk. Google "electrically conductive epoxy" which should do the trick although some careful surface pre-prep may be in order. That epoxy should be available at an auto parts store.

Looked at the conductable bonding on line and it seems to be the answer
No way an I paying $499 for a new one!!
