Good day to all.

Has anyone had there harmonic balancer good bad on them? Was there a sound or physical roughness that you could tell that made you think the harmonic balancer was the problem?

Thanks for all the responses in advance.

Peace,

Thomas

First of what symptoms do you have. Odd vibrations can come from 1) bad engine or tranny mounts, 2) bad "U" joints, 3) bad CV joints, 4) odd vibrations whose root cause is a bad alternator decoupler pulley.

Do a Google search on "lost harmonic balancer". I recall one where something like the plastic inner liner came detached.

Which one? There is one attached to the rear drive shaft - that I had removed years ago. Or is it the internal engine one?
