Help!! Having trouble with #4 injector, actually getting exhaust gasses and fuel coming from around injector. Tried pulling injector out but injector will not come out, almost as if it were coldwelded in!! Any one have similar problems or can offer some advice?

Remove the securing bracket. Clean the injector space between the injector and head cover with an air pressure gun. Use some pb blaster around the injector till you flush that space with the head cover. Let it soak for about 10 minutes. Than get a wrench/pliers and twist the injector left and right, till it has a little play. If it's still too stuck to come out, let it soak more. Then repeat moving the injector left right to make it loose. Get a pliers and try to pry the injector up. There is a walk through in the tech section for rocker arms that refers to injector removal, among other things. With some patience it will come out. Good luck

Thanks for info, I have tried all of that so far, maybe let it soak longer! Trying to avoid having to take the top end apart just for an injector!

If it's so stubborn, the only way I can think of is using a bigger pliers, grab the injector by the metal part and twist left/right, obviously paying attention not to mess up the top, where the electric connectors and pressure line is connected. I can't imagine it being like welded in, but who knows... A big pliers with long handles should work. You can get one for cheap at harbor freight, if you don't already have one. Something like this:

Penetrating lube and patience are good. Where are you? The Miller tool kit has an injector puller, although it's a tight fit for #4, and someone near you might have the tool.

Any way to put a crescent wrench on the flat spot and an extension pipe for leverage? Or maybe a crow foot wrench and a breaker bar?

Make sure you have your new copper washer and seal ready

I used one of these: http://www.harborfreight.com/16-inch-ti ... -1759.html and some wiggling. There's a decent spot on the injector to grab with the fork, and then you can use it like a lever against the intake cover.

Thanks for all the help, I ended up finding a new mechanic, loves working on Diesels, and after alot of soaking and making a tool to grab hold of the injector, working it back and forth was able to finally get the injector out. The injector checked out as being good, the o-ring was pretty much gone and the copper washer was worn down on one side considerably. This was giving an exhaust leak and a compression leak. Is running good once again. Now to find out why #2 glow plug is sending low voltage error message. I just replaced all 4 glow plugs with Etechno glow plugs, maybe the wiring or the control module?
