I have been thinking of selling my CRD, just don't know what it's worth. I am moving to Alaska in November and have been thinking of buying a wrangler and putting a cummins in it. I just need to know how much my CRD is worth,
My list of mods;

2006 CRD
118,000 miles
GDE economy tune
GDE turbo Tune
GDE programmer
Samco hoses
Fumoto drain valve
3 inch magnaflow exhaust
Old man emu lift/ 984 springs
Soft 8 wheels
Pro comp 31/10.50/15 tires ( less than 2,000 miles)
ORM/ elephant hose mod
Timing belt, water pump and pulleys done at 101k.

Let me know what you think it's worth ImageImageImageImage

Moving to Alaska in November is like moving to Phoenix in June.

Good luck on your endeavor to put a Cummins in a Wrangler. I suppose one needs something to do in Alaska in the winter.

I'm going to try to do the cummins conversion before I leave, I'm currently in Missouri, I think the job will be easier here than in Alaska

Maybe you could add how high she's lifted to the list.
You mention the OME it but not how much.
Might help the chaps help you value her to get the most.
Cheers.

Not that I don't agree with your project, but why don't you try the om617 turbo diesel from Mercedes? It should be a better fit for a wrangler, due to it not being that heavy, and you don't need a Dana 60 either. You can buy the whole car from an auction (look for Mercedes 300sd from 79-84) with way under 1000, plus delivery. Just trying to help you with an idea. Good luck with the project, whatever you choose, jeep diesels kick arses :D.

Om617 or 4bt, both are very good engines and are an excellent choice, good luck.

It depends on where you're going in AK as to whether I'd suggest putting a 4BT in a Wrangler.

If you're going to be coastal, like Anchorage, I think it'd be great. But if you're inland, like Fairbanks or north slope, the intense winter cold is such that your fuel absolutely sucks. Or it gels. Take your pick.

Diesels are not as common as you'd think in "everyone drives a truck" Alaska, simply for this reason.

I'd stick with the liberty, due to its light weight, quiet ride, and save your money for what you find really REALLY want, after you've been there a while.

That advice was free, and probably worth just slightly less than you paid for it.

Best of luck... Wish I could go, too. I'm in Illinois for a few years, near Chicago. I wouldn't mind going back to AK.
