OBD Code P0069 barometric pressure correlation! So far I have:- Taken out and cleaned the Map Sensor which was full of gunk Taken off and thoroughly cleaned and inspected the x2 Boost hoses which were both in very good condition. Cleaned the air filter. But the problem is still the same! Could it be something to do with a sensor? 2006 Jeep Liberty 2.8 CRD 61k Miles |

Could be a sensor, could be a lot of things with your description. Do you have a Check Engine Light? What codes are you pulling from your Jeep? Get those two things, report back. **EDITED** What are you using to pull P0069? That code isn't listed in the Field Service Manual at all. Where are you getting that "Barometric blah blah" from? I just re-read the service manual, there's only 2 places the Barometric pressure is monitored. Internally in the ECM, and the MAP sensor. If you have already cleaned your MAP sensor, my next bit of advice would be for you to replace it. After that, you're going to probably have to look to your ECM. You can also check the wiring harness where it passes through the firewall to ensure it isn't rubbed through, as that's a known issue in the 06's. Hope this helps some! Good luck! |

P0069 is a drift detection of the boost sensor, it has failed internally. You need a new sensor to fix the issue. |

Keith to the rescue! Now, save yourself a LOT of cash - Search around here (sorry I don't have a direct link) looking for a GM boost sensor that is exactly the same part as ours... EXCEPT the price is like $25 instead of $150. Edit: NEVER MIND! Idparts has the right one, for $25. Thanks Corey! |

The p/n on my sensor is 0281002437 which is different to the p/n they have on IDParts a.though its looks identical! |

Ignore that. What ID parts has is correct and has been vetted by the group here. I'd have no problems using it in any CRD. |

is the sensor on the side of the airbox plugged in? (if you have a GDE tune- it's disabled - but stock it's live and has an effect) |

OK with lots of searching on the internet I decided to change the MAP sensor that is at the back of the engine on the exhaust manifold (the one I took out originally and cleaned) and "hey Presto" problem solved! I guess that because it got so gunked up it caused it to fail completely even though I cleaned it. Thought I'd let you all know just incase someone else has the same problem. |
