Noticed I'm only getting about 20 PSI of boost from turbo where I used to get 25. Checked the actuator arm at idle. With the hose pulled the arm drops about 1/2". Tried WOT several times to burn out the sludge but still seems low. There is a little play on the turbine but doesn't seem excessive. Could the low boost be a symptom of a worn turbo? 140K miles.

20 psi is about right. If you have low boost, the ecm will flag a code and turn on the CEL (P0299).

Ive never seen more than 21, and that was for a brief instant.

I have seen 23 when I've nailed it, but only for an instant. It never just sits above 20.

25 is too high, that is right near the cut off at 26/27 where you will get over boost codes with the smallest spikes. You don't want it that high anyway, the turbo is too close to the upper limits of operation where bad things can happen from overspeeding.

I just thought I've seen it at 24-25 previous to my HG replacement. Seems to be down on power and the mileage is never over 24 with the eco-tune. Before the HG and ARP studs I used to get as high as 28 mpg. Not using any coolant anymore.
