Have a 2005 crd with a bad engine noise out of nowhere. Bought about 3 years ago out of colorado, with 115,000 miles. Has about 140,000 now. Has green diesel tune. Has been running fine, delivered a vehicle and on the way back to work all bell broke loose under the hood. Pulled over shut it off, checked everything, fired back up,terrible noise still present, shut it back off, and pulled it back to work. Have not looked at it since, I am a mechanic by trade, but probably not interested in figuring it out. Looking for offers as is.

I have one that needs an engine or I need an engine to put in mine..... What would it take to take the engine off your hands?

well I would like to hold onto it , I am surprised mine would even run but not only did it run but its running very nice. it had 200,000 and had never been touched, that's what enticed me to buy this extra engine. I bought the jeep partially disassembled and he had ran the wrong engine oil and never serviced the timing belt nor deleted EGR. the valves were so gummed up u could push them open and they stayed open. I poured kerosene through it once a week all winter and finally got top end cleaned out and valves free. I honestly never dreamed it would run as smooth as it does now. I put the used rockers from spare engine, bought a gates timing belt and put the 200k water pump, idlers, and tensioner back inside. I figured if it ran through the summer id take it back down and do a water pump and other stuff
