I am new to this forum (2nd post). Thanks to all that responded to my first post. Everone seems to have alot of helpful knowledge. What is the most anyone was ever towed with the CRD? I travel alot through the mountains of Pennsylvania and I am wondering how would a CRD handle a trailer that weighs about 2500 lbs? |

Power wise it would handle it awesome, since it has 295 ft-lb. Same as the 4.7 V8 by the way. |

Have pulled a lot more than that with no problem. At 2500 lbs I might start thinking of trailer brakes though. |

I have an 8x10 covered motorcycle trailer w/ 2 bikes and all my race goodies - it's over 3,000lbs. Tows like a dream. I'll get a picture one of these days. Set the cruise on 70 all day long and get 20mpg (versus the 9mpg from my Wrangler and it would only do 70mph downhill) |

I regularly pull my camper that weighs in at 4600lbs with my 3.7 Liberty so I would think that the CRD should handle that small of a trailer with no problem at all. But like a poster said earlier look into trailer brakes for sure. |

I pulled my 69 340 dodge dart aprox 200 miles with my tandem car trailer aprox 1000lbs and car 3500lbs or so from the bay aera to gardnerville nv, the crd pulled great through the 8000ft mountian range and i also pull a motorcycle trailer fully loaded and no problems just install an electric trailer brake for safety |
