Listening very carefully I here an odd noise at 32 s in and 2:02 in - is this what you mean? The same noise occurs twice although you may be more aware of it - as I here it. Is that the noise you mean? RPM is consistent at each event at slightly under 2000 rpm? Is that the Glow plug light on in the cluster? |

the noise is like the beating of wings of helicopter, and it changes according to the load, the light on is the lack of tpm's , the noise is ever present , starting on the load |

I got headphones out to try to here it better. I can even hear your breathing from time to time. Will try to hear it when it is much quieter here. |

I am sorry I have no clue what that could be. I built myself an "electric" stethoscope I EXTENDED the wires on a cheap pair of headphones and plug them into a cheap little amp/speaker combo. I stick them in the area where the noise seems to come from sometimes taped in place...Whatever works for the location needed.. Works great for pinpointing mysterious noises with some repositioning of course. Good luck!! |

Yeah I got hold of a Jaycar parabolic listening dish when I built up an arsenal of listening goodies for these kinds of noises - normally used for listening to birds at a distance etc but it records quite subtle sounds. I'm still trying mate. Do you have any phone apps that do a kind-of graph Yeti, I know you're tech savvy so I thought I should ask. I've at least got it in my head now and keep mentally replaying it to try and come up with suggestions - which (if I can) will probably sound pretty silly to someone as knowledgeable as yourself. |

thanks are not so experienced, I solve problems in my forum, but this just can not . although I found a crack in the air box under the collar of the sleeve after the MAF and maybe that's the problem |

I had a noise like that and pulled my front drive shaft to find the cv joint connecting to the transfer case was shot. Boot ripped no grease left and dried out. I replaced the cv joint and it's all good. It's worth a look... |

Or you could have a tiny crack in the muffler... Sometimes it is worth to wait for the sound to get worse, so it would be easier to match it to the cause... Good luck! |

I had this possibly crazy thought that it sounded a bit like an exhaust manifold leaking perhaps just starting - like a flutta-flutta-flutta noise for one cylinder or a manifold (exhaust) crack. That could be discounted for certain by misting soapy water around the manifold joints at idle on a cold motor - the same consistency you'd use to test for a propane leak. |

is there any chance one of your skid plates is bent and rubbing up against, say, the transmission? This happened to me and it made some noise, easy check and easy fix |

Barley00 , i have removed the skid plate , but nothing is change Auberon , I try to see carbon spot , but haven't see , I have noticed that the noise change , when i disable the EGR and FCV , less loud , but the pulse sound remain , and seem increase , what i've noticed is , when decelerated accompanying the pedal, the engine shakes and seems to be "flooded" when he comes on 1000 rpm , when i disable the EGR and FCV , much less

If your EGR is still in your engine, I would look closely at the pipes that run from the manifold to EGR and from EGR to intake elbow. I never noticed a noise, but when I did my glow plugs, the upper flange on the EGR had soot around it and I was able to tighten the bolts quite a bit as they had come loose. Any chance that you got it hot, or over heated? It sounds like one I heard that had the beginnings of a head gasket issue. But, just in case, check your boost hoses and turbo to airbox boot for small cracks near the clamps. Also, check the Crank case vent hose for cracks. |

A torn boot on a shaft or boot strap perhaps - unlikely but?? |
