Just in time for memorial day, GRAF delivered to us a water pump shipment that we weren't expecting for another three months. This means that we have a few hundred more water pumps than we can fit on our shelves and we need to sell some quickly.

Thats a good deal! The Graf water pump is a fantastic unit, much better than the OEM (that costs more for no good reason).

Now, if you need installation assistance - Send me a message. I've worked on more than 30 CRDs now, and I can confidently say that there isn't a mechanic in the USA that has touched more CRD motors. Treat your engine right, every owner I have worked with has said that their CRD runs smoother and quieter after the timing belt service.

Maybe you don't need it yet because you have low mileage? The book says that the belt only needs to be changed by mileage, but I have seen low-mile belts actually look WORSE than some higher mileage belts. The age is definitely affecting them. I have not been able to conclusively say that weather helps or hurts, same for average humidity. The only way to know that the belt is in good condition is to dig in and change it.

I have suggested (after discussion among the members here) that the belt be changed at 100k miles OR 5 years. The goal is that the belt should be changed before any physical appearance of degradation - When it becomes less clear how long the belt has left. It won't give any warning before breaking, and trust me - cleaning up from a breakage is no fun and not cheap.

As I type this, I'm actually on the way to Baltimore for another timing job!
Maybe yours is next?

Happy Memorial Day, enjoy the BBQ with your CRD someplace that normal cars can't go. :)

Awesome deal! I bought my T-Belt kit from ID Parts last year AND had Geordi do the work! My CRD is running great!

Sorry to everyone who couldn't use the coupon code. Long week - I messed up the code that works the coupon and some people were getting "invalid coupon" errors.

Timing really is everything.... Ordered my kit last week to put in Memorial Day weekend.

No matter, the regular price is great, the shipping was lightening fast, and everything is going well.

Thanks to the info here and IDParts mostly!
