Has anyone noticed that there is a very loud wind noise comming from the rear passanger door area? When driving above 45 mpg, it's very annoying. Dealership replaced the seal and the noise is still there. Anyone have any suggestions? |

No problems on either of the 2002 or 2005. Now if your talking about the the horrible noises you here when you drive at higwayspeeds with the rear windows down we all have that issue and all you can do is keep them up. |

No, I'm actually talking about the wind noise when all windows are up. It sounds like the rear pass door isn't closed all the way. The door IS closed though. It's just a LOUD wind noise. Atleast I think it's comming from that door, thats what it sounds like. Wasn't here somehting wrong with the rear window at some point? |

I have not had this problem. If you have a sunroof, is it possible the sunroof isn't fully closed? |

I had the same issue. Sounded like passenger window, and a then a second noise in my sunroof. Upon inspection, the sunroof was due to the exterior rubber ring, that was a quick fix, bonded back in place. As for the window, after my third attempt/complaint at the dealership i finally got a guy that actually cared. Turned out the door just needed a little alignment. Been silent, well quiet as should be ever since. Hope that helps. |

Changed handle? I can ask about the door at the dealership. The Dodge dealer I go to is awsome. |

How did the dealership align the door? I was just at the dealership and took the service manager for a spin in my KJ. He said that there was a problem but damned if he knew how to fix it. They already moved the latch on the frame itself closer in so now the door is actually recessed a little bit. STILL wind noise. He was polite but basically inferred that I was stuck with it until DC makes a TSB or something like that. I am pissed! I want a solution. |

Not exactly sure how they did it. The service manager told me they had to "realign", which meant having to lift or lower (don't remember which) the angle of the door. Pretend you are looking at the door from sideview. Now imagine adjusting the door like a picture on the wall. a little tilt and it was fine. Sorta makes sense if by doing this it created a tighter seal on the top side. All I know is that at highway speeds i couldn't even hear my wife speaking next to me. Now, ... all i have is the light hum of my tires. Sorry I wasn't more help to ya. |

Longarm, Try a thin film of oil on the inside of the door where the seal meets, close then open, you should see the oil transfer to the rubber gasket. look for gaps in the withness mark. this will help isolate a miss-aligned door. |

I have the same thing. At about 3000 miles I first noticed it. It is a loud wind noise coming from the right rear door/window. Definitely not the sunroof, not a partially open window. The dealership said they couldn't do anything about it (translation...they didn't try) Maybe if I keep harrassing them they'll finally work on it. |

had my door adjusted today, the wind noise is all but gone, the problem is now it has a large stone chip in the windshield and filthy seats and trimwork around the quarter window!!! |

I have a little wind noise in the CRD, but nothing like interfering with listening to stereo. Matter of fact the wife has yet to complain so as the old saying goes "If she's happy, I'm happy". Now if I just had the new MB V6 diesel in my Magnum, all would be right in my world. |
