Greetings everyone! Yesterday I was finally able to score the 2008 Liberty CRD! The vehicle is at 106k mileage and had its 100k maintenance performed by a Jeep maintenance shop. The paper shows the belts and and hoses and a host of other items where replaced. The vehicle is running like a dream however after reading CRD newbie section I realized how much I knew nothing about the CRD engine! I'm schooling myself as quickly as I can however I figured I'd ask the community if there is anything I should be on the look out for or just some great links for the newbie. Thanks in advance!

People usually don't browse the tech section of this forum, post in crd love e the torque, you'll get more replies there. There is actually a sticky in this subforum about not posting questions.

On the top of noob guide, I'd say to do your best and install 5 gauges: Trans temp, oil temp, oil pressure, boost and egt. Those will help monitor the health of the engine and Trans. Also, check the turbo for play, make sure there are no obd2 codes and block the egr if possible, using weeks101's kit. Also, get a GDE tune, probably first thing!
