All of the research I've done on this site indicates an F-108 is the correct Fumoto drain valve for the CRD. I checked the Fumoto site and it indicated the F-102 is needed for the 2.8L CRD Liberty. http://www.qwikvalve.com/ The thread size for the F-108 is 16mm-1.5. The F-102 thread size is BSPP-3/8(Compatible wth 5/8"-18 UNF). So which Fumoto drain valve is correct; the F-108 or the F-102? I want to order a valve tonight. Thanks.

I got f102 on mine and it works with no leaks. Now, since 5/8 is almost 16mm, I can't swear I got the right one, it's been over 3 years since I got it, using the charts from the quickvalve (which I think is a new redirect for fumoto official site).

Same here I used the 102 valve worked great and my sump bolt was threaded screwed in tight and firm no leaks just a little loc tight

Here's the deal. WAY back, one of the members (who ran lubricationspecialists.com) carried the initial fumoto setup for the CRD (before the thread-pitch had an exact match available). It consisted of the following:
- Fumoto Oil Drain Valve F-108N
- CRD-108 Adapter

Then, about a year later, fumoto started stocking the exact pitch for the pan, so I purchased the following (and still use it):
- Fumoto Oil Drain Valve F-102N

So, the answer is the 108 will fit if you have a little brass adapter plate that was sold for a while, but the 102 will fit with no adapter. Here's the horse's mouth:

By the way, make sure you use the fiber washer. I used a copper crush washer when I installed mine in 2008 and it started leaking a couple weeks ago, so I had to re-install last weekend with a new (fiber) washer. I expected more than 6 years out of that seal... :)

Where do I get the fiber washer because mine is leaking and I changed to it then changed the oil 5,000 miles later. Now it is 8000 total miles and it appears to be leaking.

I got a bunch of fiberglass washers from Sears hardware (not any Sears has them, but Sears hardware does). Or try eBay.

I always end up removing mine during oil changes anyways since it doesn't let all the oil out of the bottom of the pan. I think the threads of the valve stick up above the bottom of the pan a little bit. It kinda defeats the whole reason CRD owners get the valve, but it does make it a cleaner oil change since i can let most of the oil out without it dripping all over.
