Well yesterday i changed the oil, changed fuel filter, and stupidly washed the engine. Now this afternoon i have 2 new codes pop up.
1. P1250, fuel pressure regulator, 2. p1140, valve timing sensor.

not too sure what to do, any help would be much appreciated.

i always run the ehm and off road mod so p0102 is normal and i will turn 280,000 km tomorrow.

I'd make sure the filter is properly seated and the old small rubber gasket came out with the old fuel filter (and you didn't double up the small gaskets by mistake). It may be air in fuel that causes the pressure code. Also, clear them and see if they come back. Valve timing sensor is an easy fix if you have the sensor and the code persists. It's too much of a coincidence to miss the time when you change the filters...

Thanks for getting back to me. where does the valve timing sensor actually go? I didn't think we had one on the crd. The fuel filter is ok, i did bleed a little more air out of it though.

any thing else come to mind?

Valve timing is the cam position sensor, located on the passenger side of the valve cover, towards the rear (part# 5140332AA).

Edit - I gave initially the wrong part number, i have corrected it above.

P1140 is a failed intake throttle (also called the FCV). This is located on the intake elbow where CAC hose connects to the engine from the intercooler. The 'valve timing sensor' could be bogus info from the OBD test tool and is not relevant to this engine. You might be able to disconnect the wiring, blow it out with air and it might work...if water got in during the washing. GDE

Thanks for the feedback. Tonight i had most of the sensors unplugged, then plugged back in. The only one that seemed to make a difference was on the fuel rail, is that a fuel pressure sensor? but after being un plugged for a while the engine idled badly. but before this happened the throttle was way more responsive.
