my 05 CRD is very slow to go into gear after sitting a few hours. I have a Euro converter to put in, but do I need a front pump too? I am gettting the shaking when pulling the boat up hills. The dealer whants $450 for a new pump???? Does this sound correct? Are aftermarket pumps availiable and does anyone have any part numbers? Can anyone give me an estimate on the labor for the TC and front pump?

Replacing the front pump or installing the transgo kit while you are in there is a good idea. I show the newer pump PN as 68009879AB and the online price seems to be ca. $300+shipping (I understand the pump gasket is different from that on the earlier pump and would assume, but don't know, that the new pump comes with the gasket).

I'd be surprised if swapping the pump added more than 30 minutes to the job once you are going in far enough to swap t torque convertors.
